Interested in .17 cal ?
« on: September 15, 2018, 06:22:41 PM »
The .172 cal 26 gr. FN GC mould is out of stock.... If you are interested in seeing it produced again, please show your interest at the thread linked below....

I am suggesting a shorter, 23 gr. PB version as well, if there is enough interest they might make both....

I'd be up for a shorter bullet.

17 cal hollow point? This has a coolness factor right up there with that Gardner bullet (whatever happened with that anyway?). This I've gotta have!

I ended up buying both a GC and a PB hollow point mould and cast a few on Monday. They come out looking spectacular and amazingly perfect.
I'm planning on using gas checks I make myself on both the GC and PB version. I will make the checks with dies I purchased from someone who's been making these "Checkmakers" for a while now. I'm the first one to request them in 17 caliber so I'm paying a premium to get them built but once they're done he's going to add them to his catalog at the going rate. So, if there's anyone out there that is interested in making their own 17 caliber gas checks they should be available, oh, I'd say early next year some time.

Never heard of anyone using a Gas check on an airgun.... so I presume you are talking powderburner?.... Glad to hear they cast nicely, haven't had a chance to try my moulds yet....
