He will need to answer this as I just produced the sheets, I'm not sure where they are located since they were moved off my server.

Greetings fellows, I did take the hunting season off, and I'm doing well, but not likely to return to producing the load sheets because of the work involved in doing this. It can take up to 3 hours to generate and format a single sheet. Honestly, this work has cut into the time that I would normally spend at my bench or up on my range, so something has had to change. Its kind of the same thing that I encountered when I was selling the Lee custom molds. My shooting dropped to nothing, so I closed the business.

I do run data if Al asks, but I'm not taking custom requests anymore. I would suggest that you purchase QuickLoad as it is a bullet caster's best friend.

As a general query, how does Quickload determine the "Minimum FPS" entry on the load sheets?  I ask because I want to convert this number to different twists to match the guns I plan to use, eg. 1 in 10" is listed on a 9mm sheet while my barrel is 1 in 16".
Sorry that I've not been back to this topic for a reply, been really busy on the ranch.

That number is actually being calculated by the TMT bullet design software. TMT provides an online calculator.

The requests have slowed to a snail's pace so I'm going to officially start my "hunting season" break from this work. Actually, the ranch and family has kept me busy to the point that I have a tough time turning out the one data set I've promised Swede each week.

Update!

Load Notes and Cartridge Drawings Posted:

Find at http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/data

Load Notes Pending:

Just a reminder, I usually only generate one Load Note sheet a day.

Check at http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/data to see if the notes you are looking for are posted. If not, make a specific request via a post using the bullet ID profile and cartridge, and it will be added to the list. Custom data; specific powder requests, cartridges not in my database, and bores not within .003" of the bullet's design diameter, cannot be provided. Data is generated within the confines of templates; please see any Load Notes as a sample of what can be provided.

It is a good idea to bookmark the link above once opened.

Please remember that this data is for NOE's and RDO's use. Your use of our Load Notes is at your risk and only meant for a comparison against other sources.

Swede has finished organizing his bullet identifications, quite an undertaking with 800 moulds being offered. It will cause some confusion initially as to what mould an individual purchased but down the road it will make more sense. The 30 Carbine bullet data that Paper Puncher requested data for is the 311-121-HP H5.

I'm not going to go into the details of the designation changes but just get the data posted. As customers request data, I'm going to need to figure out exactly which design they are requesting data for but this will all work out in the long run.

I've archived all the previous Load Note sheets and will start fresh with as new requests are made. You will also notice a cartridge directory, an image of the cartridge that produced the data will also be available.

Just want to let you guys know that I haven't forgotten your requests. Al has been working with his bullet database, reorganizing the bullet designation to meet the needs of his new online store. I should have my end of this done in the next day or two and then I will will run the data.

Thanks Ranch Dog

Sorry I wasn't clear on my first post.
It's all good.  Should have it done in the morning.
I haven't forgotten about you, should have this for you by tomorrow (Friday). Found some software and database issues that were causing some confusion but have it all worked out now.

Ranch Dog

It is the " 311-115-RN RG4 GC " http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/images/N.O.E._Bullet_Moulds_311-115-HP_(GC)_Sketch.Jpg

This will be for the M1 Carbine.

Thanks
Okay, that is not the bullet I was working with so I will need to request some additional information from Swede.

Hi Ranch Dog,

I ordered the new 358-161-RN (GC) and would like to use it in several different guns, to begin with .357 Mag, and the 357/45 Grizzly Winchester Magnum. Do you think you could do them? Very much appreciated, as always.

I will need to get this design from Swede as well. I will not be able to help you with the 357/45 Grizzly Winchester Magnum unless you can provide a cartridge drawing with dimensions and the water volume of a fired case.

Thank you for your comments.

I started working on it this morning but ran out of time, but I should get it done by tomorrow morning. Designs, regardless of PB, GC, HP, etc., have a model number, can you verify that this is the 311316?

Many thanks for the load workup. I had settled on a RL7 load that seemed reasonable. Was concerned with the additional bullet weight. With the pressure range of the 35rem there's not much to go by visually. Your data coincided almost exactly with my chrno data and shows the load to be reasonably below pmax. Thanks for doing the research to get something on LEVERolution,  definitely needs some range work on my part, darn :)

You're welcome. Good luck with your shooting!

I will get the data you requested generated today. Unfortunately, LEVERevolution isn't in the QL database.
Took a little longer than I thought. Need to get out and take care of some ranch work before the heat builds but I will be back with some info on how I come up with a load for the LEVERevolution. It is based on the BL-(C)2 load.

Each year I hope that QuickLoad's update will include LEVERevolution, but it hasn't and I really doubt that it will because of its intended purpose. I have pressure trace equipment but it's still a guess where to start and I hate just banging away in small increments to get to the max. What I have noticed is that its performance is very similar to BL-C(2), so I took every load that Hodgdon offers with LVR and compared it to the same Hodgdon's loads for cartridge and bullet using BLC2. With that, I've been able to use a BLC2 load to give me a LVR load.
  • Grains - 1.0083
  • Case Fill - 1.0426
  • FPS - 1.0471
  • PSI - 1.10663
Using the Max BL-(C)2 load with the factors you would get:
  • Grains - 42.9
  • Case Fill - 105
  • FPS - 2233
  • PSI - 39.3
