Title: Question on mold for AR 15 rifle
Post by: 44 mag nut on April 13, 2020, 09:08:31 PM
Hello,

I'm new to the AR plate forum. Rifle is 223 W 16 inch barrel that is 1:7 twist.

I'm looking at HTC225-76=FM6. Does anyone have any experience with this in a AR.

I think I'll buy a sample pack and try it in mine...

A friend of mine helped design that bullet and has good luck.  I hope to be able to catch up on video projects and work on that bullet.

Just wanted to mention that according to the JBM Ballistics Stability Calculator https://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmstab-5.1.cgi (https://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmstab-5.1.cgi) even the HTC-225-100-FN would stabilize well in my 8" twist rate Ruger AR-556 so the lighter bullets should have no issue.
