Since you appear to be getting a heavier weight than what NOE says in regard to the calculated cast bullet wheel weights …
NOE currently tends to use as a cast weight reference Wheelweights, in regard to the predicted cast bullet weight, for the majority of their cast products … Only airgun and other type of pellets & slugs tend to reference pure lead…
Looking at that … One might potentially ask what is your alloy, as each specific alloy utilized in casting will tend to change the cast bullet weight …
It would appear from the bullet design program that switching from WW to pure lead will increase your cast bullet weight by ~ 2 grains…
IF your finished weight is with a Cu GC added you can potentially subtract ~1.3 Gr for the Cu GC.
So all together subtracting from your stated weight of
I put 45 grain in the subject line since with my alloy COWW, I’m getting about 7 or 8 grains heavier (w/ Hornady check and lube) from my NOE 255 55.
A potential increase in weight in cast bullet weight might potentially tend to indicate that you may potentially be using something close to pure lead as your casting alloy, as subtracting ~ four grains from your measured cast bullet weight will tend to put you closer to the NOE predicted weight….
Finally since you did not mention the actual mould number in your posting you should also know that NOE has changed their mould numbering system to eliminate the duplicated numbers for their mould products as duplicate numbers were potentially possible with the original numbering system…

Archimedes was right … when he noted that different metals weigh different amounts when they are cast into a specific irregular size… thus with an alloy containing tin let’s say the weight will be lighter… Conversely, with the absence of tin, & with only pure lead in the pot … it will tend to increase the final products cast bullet weight … accordingly.

NOTE I cannot say for certain as this is your mould… as the two above moulds appear to be the only ones close enough to your original referenced intel to potentially be your specific mould in question
It is however the only 45 grain mould in that caliber listed in the current NOE records …

Now if it is a 55 grain mould then the story may tend to change…

In either case … clicking on the small magnifying glass above & to the right of the cast item will also tend to bring up the NOE bullet sketch in addition to the cast bullet normally shown on the NOE store page… Then you can use the < > arrows to go back and forth between the bullet image and the bullet dimensional sketch.

OBTW the new moulds now appear to now have an RG (hollow point option) which it appears is unfortunately … apparently … sold out at the moment, in both cases…
