      For Pistol and Rifle.

Excellent idea, never saw these announced.

Now I can get my Lee Universal Expander working again, just belling the neck was never really enough for softer, wider cast boolits.

This could save a fortune on replacing expensive Cowboy dies.

Will be picking up some of these with my next mold order.

Are these made to fit the Lee expander die? How do they work?

Yep just replace the Lee flare plug with the NOE expander.

I’ve had a mate make them for me on an ad hoc basis in the past, having them off the shelf from NOE at such a friendly price is excellent and convenient.

Wonder if Al will do a bespoke service as cast boolits sometimes require more than just generic calibre sizes.

Perfect. I will be placing an order for a few.

Wonder how long until there are some in stock. I need about six different ones and hopefully order them all together.

45 Cal. expander plug .455″ x .459″ To use with Lee Universal Neck Expanding Die Turns it in to a true neck expander like a Lyman M-die.

might be a stupid question but could you explain the two dimensions? thanks jason

The M die is a two step expander. The first step should expand the case neck to 1-2 thou under bullet diameter for good bullet retention without deformation..

The next step should be 1-2 thou over bullet diameter, this creates a small step in the mouth of the case that the bullet sits on before seating thus helping the bullet seat squarely.

my 45 caliber bullets are sized at 461 so this expander would be no good for what i need.

Yep there will be a lot of us with that issue, still Al may expand the range, he is responsive to his customers needs.

Neat! I didn’t know he was offering these yet. I do hope he expands the range and/or even offers custom sizes. But I will definitely be getting some of these! I can even get one size up and turn it down if I have to. Anything beats the big fat cone that comes with the Lee expander. Thanks!

I suppose if you visit him in person (like I did) you can get some of the “not in stock” items. :)

I have a 35 cal one and it works great for my 35whelen. :)

What size would be best for the 8x56r cast bullet.??…made from the 338 230Gr. RF (Frankenstein) .

I got that mold and cast some bullets, and now realize I don’t have a neck expand die for the 8x56r case…. :-(

Looking forward to the custom Expanders arriving on NOE’s menu for all the ‘fatter’ cast boolits we use, but especially the 316299    I just bought the mold but wondering how I can best expand the case neck of the standard 303B case. The standard offerings, such as the Lyman M-Die listed sizes,  simply don’t cater for these at all.  So, all to look forward to.

                                hey folks
                                first post!
i was really happy to the powder thru plugs on the menu
i still may need to get them fatter
i cheated a bit with some that i have (both Lee and Lyman)
have a range bud that works in a local hard chrome house
and he added a bit of shine and most importantly size to them

                                lyman .44
lyman .40 (which didn’t turn out so well as it seems every micrometer at Lyman reads .002″ small !!)
lee .38 s&w (use that for 9mm cast)
                                lee 38
these parts are literally so smooth you can hardly pick them up!
                                and they should last forever
and i cant even tell you how smoothly they expand,  you cant even feel them working

now ill have to try the NOE plugs and maybe have to get a few custom ones done as well

Some thru-powder expander dies for a Dillon 550B would be nice.

Guncheese, that’s a sweetly done photograph.

Some of you guys have really nailed how to take a great close-up.

I still await arrival of the ‘custom’ NOE Expander Plugs for the ‘fat’ boolits we are apt to cast, perhaps when the NOE chaps are less busy?
