Off-site discussions have mentioned the desirability of a NOE GB for the .310 Cadet.  Something along the order of the traditional heeled bullet to be tumble lubed with LLA or the like.  My unaltered Cadet likes a .310 heel and a .321 body, but with the right lead mixture it should be flexible.  Several of us could submit pound casts for averaging.  A 4-cavity sure would be nice.. :P

Many years ago we did a Cadet boolit GB over on Cast Boolits using Lee.

It was just plain sided no grooves and was designed to be tumble lubed, it shoots very well however the heel size was too small for my needs and had Accurate cut me one, the design is on his web site, that dropped to the required diameter for me .323″ body .309″ heel.

I would be interested in a longer and heavier boolit of this design say dropping 135 gns for shooting at the longer distances, I think getting agreement on the dimensions will be the challenge with this bullet.

Obviously as a keen Cadet shooter I would be interested if it dimensionally met my needs.

I’m presently set for a mold on my .32-20-converted Cadet, but I’m happy to help out as a data point:

My BSA’s bore mic’d out at .3185″, my mold drops at .3205″ and I’m sizing to .320″.

Would anyone know if a .310 Lee copy mold is on the books anytime soon?

                    Pup
