I know I’m not the only 1 with this guy . I can’t be the only one trying to make it work in an AR . At least I hope not . I’m no Hathcock or B Dixon,  but I’m having a little trouble getting this handsome devil to go where I pointed it that is unless I’ve got cranked up to maximum over drive .  I don’t have a problem with the good fortune of getting a boolit and cartridge together that will go full bore .  A fella I met in Texas ran some Quick Load numbers for me with this in its intended 6.8 Rem  and based on what I think I know and thought I read I should be able to run this as hard as alloy allows . Currently with H4198 I’m right at the edge of what I can get a 2300 fps and the groups are closing.
I have a 4 groove ,mid length gas ,16″ 6.8 SPCII AR  claimed to be an A2 but is an M4 with the fin sight aND a 1-11 twist .  I have successfully managed to get 4 powders to cycle with 2 primers  to perfection. ……. except groups . They only seem to come in at about the point where I chicken out . It’s not that I’m beating up the brass or flattening primers but I’m at maximum or near maximum jacketed loads sometimes over . QL suggested 25. 1 for 105% turns out 29.5  touches the base for clean burn and 2100 fps . 21.0 is suggested for H4198 and at 24  I started to show a little bit of yaw . I loaded some with 10x but the start loads were not pleasing . In all to now some 45 different loads have been tried from 10-2320 fps .  Maybe I have a 4 min rifle . I’m open for suggestions.  I’ve tried 10x H322 H4198 and IMR 4350. I have a dab of 3031 4895 and 4831 IMR s  and I doubt it’s any help or wise but H110.

Found a platform quirk . It seems thereally is a space between the muzzle and the shoulder in the flash hider ,30 cal, that trapped gasses and the debris associated with them . The end result was a rough crown and turbulent gasses messing with the bullet after release.  I hope that is the prime issue anyway.  The plan is to open the step up to gone and/or get it closer to the muzzle .

I got out to shoot it with a previous good load and with the flash hider off it shot back to its original accuracy levels of about 1.6 ” with me on the trigger no bags . Bagged I would expect it to be closer to .8″ .
So it’ll be back to getting the step up sizer at .280 and possibly a .270 to roll some patches .
