It should work well in anything 3000 psi with a 24″ barrel, or more power than that…. Most .45 cals seem to be pretty fast on the twist rate, but all bullets face that challenge, not just this one…. I would think some of the Korean guns, or possibly the Texan should be OK…. although I have heard the Texan prefers heavier bullets with it’s fast twist barrel…. Some .45’s are 0.452″ groove instead of 0.458″, but you can easily compensate for that when making the tooling….

This bullet is now in the Store…. I didn’t even know this one was coming out…. Al has made moulds for the .458 cal 244 gr. BBT and it’s 229 gr. HP version….

size for the Marlin Model 1894 Limited Edition Lever Action Rifle 45 LC 1:38 twist… if it was a powder round tho.. ;)

For an air rifle barrel we have the Green mountain 25:  1:32 twist blank…

I would fit it to a  Winchester  M/70  .45 …. Which I bet has the .45-70’s twist rate of 1:20

There are slow twist barrels these and the  290-fn  ( and a 260g-270g) would be nice with the  32 twist barrel…

not sure but the 290g but it would probably do better overspun some in the 1:20 barrels than in the  1:38 marlin barrel…imo.. ;)

green mountain does have 1:16 twist  45 acp barrels
