Well, you dont want this one if you are running an older Marlin like I am. 

This is the one you want….or at least the one I want for my dads old JM Marlin with serial number on the tang.

Because of these comments, I was thinking the op wanted the original 30-30 ranch dog bullet which is meant for the older JM marlin chambers.  The SC311-165 is the newer version meant for the newer marlins with the serial number on the side of receiver.  Here are comments regarding these bullets from Ranch Dog:
