Thanks for the help, but If that mold was a copy of the Lee 309-113-F, then it’s a darn poor one. I own a gas check version of that mold. Not even close in my opinion.
I would rather have an exact copy if possible. If I had to change one thing then a little wider meplat would be it.
If need be I can send Swede some bullets to take measurments.
I used to use the Lee, but found the NOE version shoots far better in all my applications. I even had a lee mould cut for a PB On the target it has performed far better than the Lee. The NOE one I have linked to shoots just as well without a gas check as it does with one. Just my experience and only trying to help.
I have one of the original 6 cavity Lee group buy moulds from years back and use this bullet in many of my 30 cals. Recently started using it in my Marlin 336BL in 30-30, great shooter!
I have the 2 cavity lee mold which I really like the bullet, but hate the quality of the 2 cavity lee molds. I wanted it in plain base too, since I am powder coating them and not pushing them too fast.
