Wondering if anybody is interested in these two powdercoat/HiTek coat bullet mold designs.  Was going to see if there was enough interest to start a group buy.

This 150 gr bullet is a little less pointy and a little shorter than the current HTC310-153-SP

This 200 gr bullet has a long unsupported nose which some people like

I’d be interested in the HTC310-200

I also would be interested in a 310-200 grain mold. Thank you

I was able to do a little casting on my day off with these two molds.  The bullets from both look pretty good.  I just need to figure out which calibers to try them in.

Nice video and wow what a lucky guy you are. Getting stuff before it hits the shelf. That’s awesome.
I’ve never had a complete smooth or non lube groove bullet. I like the idea and since 99% of my loads are powder coated now ( thanks to your easy ideas and suggestions) , if it ever comes around for a group buy, I’d certainly like to try it out.
For me, I’d like to give it a whirl in my 300 blackout and 30-06.

A light(er) weight 300 blk sub?  Or a slow supersonic in 300 blk?  I might try it out in the 30-06 or maybe even use it as a semi-auto .308 bullet for my FAL or VEPR chambered in .308.

I do not have a can for my blackout so it’s just for something above subsonic for plinking. My rifle really likes the NOE 311-230-FN already but a specific powder coated mold might be fun also.
I have been doing a lot of reading lately with some folks paper patching and also powder coating and reaching near jacketed velocities. Another fun project to try out on my 30-06 single shot.
I’m still totally impressed with how well powder coating holds up and works without leading. I bet in time they make new types of coatings that will allow us to increase speeds even more.
Glad your feeling better Sir. Take it easy.

If you paper patch, would there be any real reason to powder coat also?

No either method by itself. I’m sorry if my post was confusing. I was thinking of trying either type with a smooth bullet and try to push the speeds and see what I get, and a mold like this might be a good start for that project.

I would be interested in the 200 gr version also. I would question the driving band length for use in Blackout. I think a good portion of the bore ride would be inside the case? Good/ Bad?

I need to find some time to load some up and test.

Just curious if you have had a chance to test the 200 Gr. in 300BO ?
If the 200 Gr has the same driving band length I think that a good portion of the bore ride will be inside the case? If the driving band were lengthened enough to work in 300 BO it would be SWEET!

Coincidently, I like the HTC309, because it’s pointy

I prefer the pointy version myself. I have the 150 for PC/HTC and I love it …
