Wooohooo, got a RD 2 cavity plain base mould. I wanted a 4 cavity, but bought a Magma Caster and it only runs 1 or 2 cavity mould. So Al the Swede did an inventory run and I jumped on a 2 cavity.

Had to modify the mould, but I am up and running….. yeah baby….

        Thanks Noe…

          Stikman,

What’d you have to do to make the mould work in the Magma?

There are several things you must do:

            1. Acquire a blank sprue plate from Magma. Relocate the sprue hinge pin on the mould and cut new pour holes in the sprue plate to match the cavity spacing on the Noe mould.

2.Acquire new mould keys from Magma for a Lyman mould.

            3. Remove .070 from each side of the mould block.

Yes, a mill would be necessary.
