extra mold venting for spitzer

I’ve had my .322 caliber ELCO bullet molds, both single and double cavity for a while now. I have had a problem with the noses not casting properly. At first I just cleaned them with solvent and then with warm water and Dawn Ultra (NOT with the hand lotion type). I finally boiled them in Dawn and water. While I was cleaning them after boiling, with more dawn and hot water I realized that some of the vent lines coming off the spitzer nose were plugged from the beeswax/graphite that I used for lubing the guide pins( from NEI). With a toothbrush and wooden tooth pick I cleaned it all out. This is the first time I’ve had a problem with this. Anyway, I went back to casting and although much improved, it still isn’t right. The problem is located in the area of the nose where the vent lines are still blocked, but this time by the alignment pins. No cure for that, but now I’m wondering if these molds couldn’t be improved with the addition of vertical vent lines on either side of the cavity as H&G used to. This is with the single cavity mold. The dual still has a problem but not as bad and I have not used it since acquiring the single. 
  Maybe one should be tested at the shop to see what happens.
