Got the FX Crown out with the hollow point version of the 300-68-FN-BI3
I think its going to be my go to bullet for this rifle.

Again had problems with the bullet being to long for the magazine.

Made up a run of Single Shot Trays for the 30Cal

      Works great for single loading.

      Chronograph information was as follows.
      First 5 shot string:
      Shot (1) 692 fps
      Shot (2) 699 fps
      Shot (3) 705 fps
      Shot (4) 702 fps
      Shot (5) 702 fps

      Hi 705 fps
      Lo 692 fps
      Av 700 fps

      ES 13
      SD 5
      Second 5 shot string
      Shot (1) 704 fps
      Shot (2) 711 fps
      Shot (3) 709 fps
      Shot (4) 708 fps
      Shot (5) 712 fps

      Hi 712 fps
      Lo 692 fps
      Av 708 fps

      ES 8
      SD 3

Didn’t really shoot for groups – but shot about 6″ lower than JSB’s
And group size was about the same at 50 yards.
Shot a 15 round string – 6 rounds in about 3/4″ or less with three flyers that opened it up to about 2 1/2″

Did shoot it in to some ballistics jell and it penetrated 8″ and was retrieved.

Not explosive expansion – .359 – good weight retention though. Cast with pure lead.

Working on getting more velocity out of the Crown – 1000fps and I think this bullet will be
      a great performer.

Nice job on the tray…. still think you need to market them….

Expansion at that velocity is marginal, as expected…. with more power it should be a great round….

I had very good luck with these pellets in my WAR Flex with 17″ barrel when I was shooting the gun unregulated. On a 3600psi fill I’d get 7 shots around 900fps with the hollow points. They were explosive in water jugs with the right alloy, although I never got a chance to go hunting with one.

I’m about to order another Flex with a Cothran valve and 24″ barrel primarily to shoot these slugs.

Looks a lot like the 40g .25  I am at .75 at 50 yards with them at  40:1 mix and sized to .2495… The design works in my stock Mrod..

will be trying and 80:1 mix next… sized .250 works almost as well… .249 is to small but have not tried knurling back up yet…
Just thought I would let Al know…
