I need help picking out a mold for my 50 cal muzzleloader and to use for hunting white-tailed deer.  24″ TC barrel .502 and 1 in 28 twist. I would like to powdercoat these as well.

Any thought on these three or am I missing anything?

      404/380 mold
      502-404-SWC-BJ1

      411/431 gas check
      502-431-RF-BE1 RG2 cavity GC

469 grain Hollow base is a little heavier than I was wanting to shoot.
      502-469-SWC-BI4 RG2 cavity HB

      Thank you

I would say that for Whitetail, either of the first 2 would work fine, as long as you do your part with good shot placement. A well placed .22Lr is a quicker killer than a poorly placed 300Win Mag.  since you want to “powder coat”, the Gas Check wouldn’t supposedly be needed, and do you want to go through the steps of Gas Checks? I think your Leaning towards the first mold, and if you can shoot it well, it should Do The Job!
