Good Afternoon and thank you for providing such a wealth of knowledge on this forum.  I am looking to pick up a new mold that would work well in both 30 carbine and 300BLK.  The 300BLK will be used for supers in an 8.5″ with CFE BLK and a RAA rifle for subs suppressed with trailboss.  Projectiles will also be tumble powder coated.  I have had great luck with the 311-232-FN-AZ1 BLKOUT when coated but thats way to heavy for the 30 carbine.  I think I have settle between these two mold HTC310-135-RN-BY3 5 cavity PB and HTC312-137-RN-CA1 5 cavity PB.  I have the HTC452-234-RN-BV5 and love how the fly out of the mold when casting and since I’m coating them I would like to stick with one of the HTC molds for this application as well.  Thanks for any input and advice on these two and have a great day!

The 30 carbine is going to want a 110-120 grain “Round nosed” profile, or your asking for Feeding issues!
I had a ton of the “Berry’s Plated 110 grain, that I loaded in My M1 Carb. [Sold many moons ago  :'(] so just to see, and to use them up, I loaded a bunch in 300 blk. I don’t have my notes handy, but they were all supers, and functioned perfectly, but the powder I was using, 4227(I think) was the problem, in that they were shooting “dirty” and after a hundred or so, a case got stuck enough for the Extractor to rip out the Rim, but a cleaning rod pushed the case out with little resistence.  But the “Round nose” fed Fine in “My” upper.
Hope this helps you make a more informed choice, but that M1 Carbine won’t “like” anything but a “Traditional” “Ball”  ROUND nosed bullet, I guarantee it!  Good luck, and let us know what you come up with!

Thank you so much for your reply! I was hoping that the HTC molds would be “ball” nosed shaped enough to work. Perhaps I’ll try the 121gr mold made for 30 carbine and machine out the lube grooves.  Thanks again!
