This may sound like a stupid question, but Do the NOE expander plugs work in just the Lee Universal Expander or can they work in the caliber specific dies too?
Reason I ask is the Lee set of 44Mag dies has an expander that is of .432x.429 ok for Jacketed bullets but way to tight the cast bullets.
In my Marlin 1894 I need cast bullets at about .433. For proper neck tension I should have the neck sized to .431 or .432. Such as NOE’s .436x.432.
If NOE expanders fit in the expander die body I have I won’t need to buy a Lee Universal Die.

Tried ordering the parts but it won’t let me. I have bought stuff before without any issues. It won’t let me log in. So I tried to open a new account, tells me there is already an account. I tried resetting the password. It sends the info to reset to my e-mail but when I get back to sight it says they have no record of that request.
I have sent an e-mail to NOE but no responce as of yet.

I made the .311 x .307 rifle plug work in my Lee 30 Luger pistol dies, but unless I missed something (EXTREMELY LIKELY) while everything dropped in, the plug was too short to expand the neck without something in the die to shim up the plug.  I made this work by flipping over the stock LEE plug and installing it OVER the NOE plug however then the expansion takes place outside the die.  I didn’t spend ALOT of time with this (worked liked a charm) since I’m waiting for the universal die.  Your mileage may vary, I reserve the right to be wrong, etc….

Got my issues straightened out and bought some expander plugs. They fit the die body just fine.
Some flip the stock expander over to use as a spacer or make one. I Don’t really see the reason for that. The NOE expander slides in the die just like the stock piece. I see no problem with that.
                They work very well.
I bought two for the 44 Mag I use in my Marlin 1894. I bought these to use a Ranch Dog 267 gr bullet/ I Size to .432. The expander in my die set is a .428 and flares up from there. I think that’s a bit to tight.
The ones I bought are a .434x.430 and a .436x.432. This gives me different sizes to try. See which works best.
As I use these expanders I’ll have to be sure to keep them in the right bags or measure to be sure which is which, they are not marked.
