Bear in mind that the prices are based on the number of cavities and material (Brass or Aluminum)…. A single Lyman style HP pin in one cavity is $35.00 extra (and slows down casting)…. The RG2 mould is only $24 more than a standard 2-cavity mould (making it less expensive than adding a single Lyman pin)…. The RG4 mould is $41 more than a standard 4-cavity mould…. The RG moulds come with complete sets of pins for a Hollow Point, a Cup Point (short conical HP) and a Flat Nose (which allows you to make the original FN design)…. and you can cast all of one type, or mix and match….

The reason I am asking is that I am of the opinion that Al only needs to make airgun slugs in the RG moulds, because so many guys want a HP, and for the most part, in my experience (and that of others) the HP tends to be more accurate than the FN it is based on…. If you disagree with this idea, then this is your chance to tell us that you still want the standard 1 through 5 cavity moulds (non-RG) available…. Alternately if you are happy with the idea of only having the RG2 and RG4 moulds available, then please say so…. Personally I think Al being able to reduce the number of mould variations in inventory (and hence maybe being able to supply a wider variety of designs) would be a good thing…. but not if many of you would be upset by that idea….

NOE, at least in theory, have 24 variations of moulds for each bullet design…. 1 through 5 cavity, a Lyman HP pin as an option in 1 cavity, plus the RG2 and RG4 moulds…. and all of those in aluminum or brass…. If we just had the RG2 and RG4 moulds in aluminum or brass, there would only be 4 items to inventory instead….  😮  8)
