If you saw a drawing for the 311 117 GR TC somewhere… then it most probably will be in the NOE (Reading Our (NOE’s) Dimensional Drawings) archives.
I looked for the drawing that you referenced with a truncated cone nose, to see if I could help & Unfortunately was not able to locate it on the NOE website.
If as you say you saw the bullet… Did you find it in the bullet dimensional sketches?
If so did you click on the drawing # to see if the dimensional sketch corresponded to the Lyman 311441 drawing that you referenced?The link below are the two closest dimensional drawings from the archives that I could find.

It may be just me but the aforementioned drawings do not look very much like the original Lyman drawing 311441 117 GR GC cast bullet image attached below…If the (311441) mould as you envision it has in fact not been made by NOE before… then it needs at least 10 individuals willing step up and say that they want to buy said mould… once it has been drawn up and agreed to, so that this discussion topic may need to be moved to one of the group buys categories.
If however you had found in the dimensional archives said mould sketch that meets your hearts desire.
Then it most probably has been made before by NOE, & you will need to find at least 5 individuals who are also willing to buy said mould to attempt to get it scheduled once again @ NOE into the production schedule.I might suggest a phone call to Al … At this point in the game as the fastest way to get your answer.

Attached are a couple of sketches based on your Ideal – Lyman 311441 TC GC mould query.
I have drawn up a very rough design sketch that is totally based on the very rough 311441 cast bullet drawing and the cast bullet design software parameters…
Take it for what you will…
You will find that the cast bullet was primarily made up for the early 32-20 crowd, & was apparently not that popular as Ideal … now Lyman apparently no longer offers that particular mould design.
I only found one article on the 311441 when researching this particular cast mould design looking to possibly locate some more detailed dimensional notes on the internet.
The article in question offered no additional dimensional intel, but did note that the individual touting the 311441 mould in question apparently stated specifically that he had to re-throat his revolver for that particular cast bullet to get it to shoot that cast bullet accurately, & then apparently only ever shot that particular 32-20 revolver with that cast bullet exclusively.
He did say that he liked the mold… once he had modified his revolver to accommodate that particular mould design
It’s your call where you want to go from here.2021-01-17 at 16:08 #512405scb
Participant::Hi Mike B
Sorry I hadn’t checked in sooner.
When you said you couldn’t find it I went and looked myself. I couldn’t find it either. I searched my computer and found I had saved the link to it. (which I have gotten into the habit of doing on stuff I’ve had a hard time finding)
Here it is.

Thanks for the time and effort you put into this. I’ve started a thread in the group buy discussion area.
Thanks again.2021-01-17 at 17:00 #512406Mike B.
Moderator::Hi scb
I see that you have found the 311-117 TC drawing in the NOE Bullet Drawings that Al posted on that forum website in August of 2014. I am glad. That possibly means that the old original cherry tooling is most probably still around at NOE.That basically means that you only need four more individuals to sign in & post that they too want that particular mould design to be one of 5 to request a new mould run on this original NOE bullet mould.
NOTE in regard to receiving a reply from the forum for all those just looking… but have never posted before or possibly have posted just once or twice on the forum, and then just pressed post…
If you press preview to double check your entry or something else… before posting you will see for lack of a better name a postscript appear below the posting window that says Attachments and other options. Please see my first attachment below.
IF you then click on that and check the option Notify me of replies. the forum will automatically send out an email to your mail box to tell you that you have a reply… when someone posts a reply…
It also at that time offers an Attach: Please see the second attachment below allowing you to also post a picture file… all be it a rather small file size… now days to the forum reply…
NOTE: scb… You may have already found that attachment option but other new individuals to the NOE forum posting for the first time may have not… I sincerely hope that you understand…
If a new individual who may be surfing the forum and sees something that he or she wants but is not in stock in the NOE store then it behoves one to sign up on the forum… to be able to post to leave a note as you have now done… scb in regard to a cast bullet subject.
So many new to the forum tend to just surf but may possibly be afraid to post… Please don’t be…
It is the only way that we have to let NOE know what we are seriously looking for. if you are new to casting then ask your question… Most probably someone with more experience will be more than happy to reply to offer assistance to you.Take Care & Stay Safe…

If you want specific QuickLoad data you will need to PM me with your email address and I will get in contact with you to send that specific data intel to you.You will need to follow the QuickLoad intel especially the COAL as the seating depth of the bullet in the cartridge is the most critical and the most important factor in keeping the pressure and the quickload data accurate…
If your rifle needs something specific as far as overall length to feed from the magazine or magazines reliably we can talk about that and factor that into the final QuickLoad – QuickTarget calculation predictions.
By following the QuickLoad intel and loading that specific QuickLoad data into QuickTarget the predicted ballistics for the load calculated has proven in the past for me and others to be accurate…
I do not post the QuickLoad data on the forum, as people in the past have just used one part of the intel without looking at the whole picture, & then seemed to get upset… when things went not as they expected.
I sincerely hope that you understand.Take Care & Stay Safe…
