I bought the NOE Sizing kit and need a top punch (nose sizing), I am using a NOE mold cast bullet (HTC310-225-RN-CE4) and want to know if I can use the SAECO top punch with the NOE sizing kit (will it fit the nose size top punch holder?)?

And if not, will the Lyman/RCBS fit it? And how often do they come in stock? Thanks!

The top punch tool holder is only setup for the Lyman style Top Punch. There is no Saeco version that Top Punch holder tooling … that I know of.

The replacement TP tool is shown as currently being in stock… If you have the tooling you can thread said top punch for the Saeco. That would be potential alternative One…

        https://noebulletmolds.com/site/shop/bullet-casting-reloading/sizing-tools/bushing-push-through-size-die/die-body-replacement-parts/top-punch-holder/

Alternative Two … The larger threads on the Saeco top punches would need to be turned off …  to turn the Saeco Version Top Punch into a Lyman Version to work with the NOE tooling.

Alternative Three  … You might want to look at the other 30 caliber moulds to see if the Ogive & Meplat are the close enough, to your mould Ogive & Meplat to be a suitable substitute, or the same… with a Lyman Style TP currently still in stock…

From a very quick check I saw no mould whose Ogive & Meplat was completely identical… to your mould… However I may have missed an identical version … as the look was as I said quick & dirty…

The 311-174 looks to be pretty close to your mould … & appears to have the Lyman version TP still in stock.

The 311-232 is also pretty close to your moulds Ogive & Meplat dimensions, & also has the Lyman version still shown as being in stock…

Below are the links to the store for those moulds… & your mould.

From the current status of material in stock I can list you potential  request for a new Lyman version of the top punch in my unofficial set of request lists … if that is the course that you chose to go… However that may tend to be a rather long wait… given the current circumstances… You will need at least 4 more individuals to also request that particular mould TP design.

Your call on how you want to proceed…

Thank you!! I just assumed all the top punches were pretty much the same…didn’t even think about looking at other mold options that might be in stock! Got the 311-232-FN-AZ1 Top Punch – Lyman Style ordered…I think it looks like the closest profile that you mentioned.

Stick some rolled up kitchen foil into the a same calibre punch with a dab of bullet lube and it will conform to the bullets nose profile.
