Some of you may know that LBT Molds had a fire over the holiday and the shop burned to the ground. I personally talked with Veral Smith the day after it happened and he told me he would not be rebuilding. I have an older LBT 45-230 LFN, but the mold is starting to show wear so I was wondering if anyone would be up for a copy of this excellent 45ACP mold. Actually excellent is an understatement. Of all the cast bullet designs I’ve shot in 45ACP this is the ONLY mold (besides RN) I’ve found that will cycle in the pickiest guns I have, yet it has nearly the largest meplat of all of the molds I own. I dont know the reason why but its also one of the most accurate bullets I’ve shot in 45ACP. What more could you ask for??? – In the pic I uploaded they were coated with Eastwood silver base.

I would be VERY interested if this became available, group buy or not.  I’ve been on the fence about buying one of those as a way to extend the usefulness of the 45 ACP.  Hopefully more people will climb aboard.

I’ll keep checking the catalog and this group buy as I’d like to get one when they are available!

One thing I did want as well as the 230gr was a 250gr version of this. I know Bruce at Montana Bullet Works has one, but Veral never got around to making one for me before the shop burned. I’m sure if you made a 230 and 250gr mold they would sell great. I did ask for a 200gr version but Veral said due to the design it might not stabilize that well. I still wanted to try it 🙂
