I don’t know about you but getting access to nice clean bullet alloy around here is getting to be a real problem. For me, when I buy wheel weights , more than 50% of them are FE and ZN weights. Useless as far as I am concerned.
My grandson does a lot of shooting with 38/357 Mag. revolvers. A lot of shooting is done between 7 yards and 15 yards. This NOE Bullet Mould has done a great job of supplying him with very accurate cast bullets and also saving on my lead supplies.
It is the 4 cavity , NOE , 101 gr. , 360 ” dia. wadcutter mould. Should be a real lead saver. Cuts down on recoil and has helped make my grandson a great shot with several 38 Special revolvers.
Finally got the range with this one. The load is 3.8 grs. of Red Dot in a 38 Spec. case. The 101 gr. Wadcutters are sized .357 with the bottom ring only with lube.
( This load showed zero extreme pressure signs, however you should use my load data at your own risk, as I take no responsibility for you using the load data )
My grandson shooting the Colt Detective Special at 7 yards. I expected the bullet to shoot low, IT DID NOT SHOOT LOW !
A lot of us think of a 35 cal. Wadcutter as a standard 148 gr. W/C. Maybe with lead supplies becoming more scarce and more expensive , it is time to begin “ thinking outside of the box “.
