I would like a 30 cal mold in HP. Most likely is the NOE version of the Saeco 315. Also is the Lyman clone made by NOE…the 311041. But there are others…maybe some other members have a special mold in mind.

How about that Sultan, mine came today also! I just got done scrubbing it and it’s on the burner now breaking in with a few heat cycles. Road trip with work for the rest of the week, but hopefully I can pour some lead in it this weekend. A hollow point version of this style mold has been a dream of mine for a while.

Al could teach a course on how to deliver outstanding customer service for small business owners.

It will be interesting to see how the shorter version HP OAL @ .943 tends to fly in relation to the non HP version OAL @1.007…

The CG of the HP version according to the NOE DWGs is at a slightly different point… towards the rear of the HP cast product  series…

Changing the CG ~ .030 towards the rear of that cast product will be an interesting flight comparison test and set of test data …

Will look forward to seeing some accuracy comparison results down the line… as posting intel.

If you are so inclined… & also have the original version with the 1.007 OAL in the non HP version of the Saeco  315 NOE product … I.E. 311-179.

No worries if you don’t… have both … I’m just interested in the potential differences and potential ballistic flight characteristics down range.

I’m not a target shooter so all I need is “one minute of deer.”

That is perfectly all right, & could tend to potentially help support the target data also.

It is the grouping that will most probably put meat in the food larder.

Hopefully the single shot will prove to produce a quick … clean kill …

Only time will tell in regard to that topic also.

I sincerely hope that you are correct…

One topic tends to confirm the other… they tend to go hand in hand after all.
