      311-247-FN (Whisper)

After a complete review of the requested HP size we have decided to furnish both
the old pins along with the new pins. Some of the problems that we for-see are
nose fill out and the nose deforming on the feed ramp. This will give you the option
      to try both.

Will assume mould blocks will be Aluminum if not requested as Brass.

This mould will be available in Gas Check (GC) and Plain Base (PB) configurations.

We will be running 2 cavity, 2 cavity Brass, 3 cavity, 4 cavity, 4 cavity Brass, 5 cavity, RG2 and RG4 Aluminum, RG2 cavity Brass. We will offer mixed GC and PB in 2 cavity, 4 cavity RG2 and RG4 moulds only (no mixed GC, PB in 5 cavity blocks).

Top punch, wrenches and sprue lube are extras now if you want them

Order received – it’s a beaut!  Can’t wait to see how it performs.  Thanks again for making the wide HP pins.

Just an update for some.  With the new pins.  COWW water dropped lubed with BLL.  About 1.5″ groups at 100 yards on a not great rest.  Bullets dropped at about 225 grains.  Bullets went through 3 milk jugs and was caught in 5 gallon bucket of mud.  1st jug blew up pretty good.  Nose fragmented and left 169 grain shank.  This bullet should work about as good as can be expected for a subsonic bullet at 30 cal.  Also very very little nose damage when feeding in the AR.  In my opinion this bullet is a match made in heaven for the 300 blackout.  I can’t wait to see what it does going supersonic!

I didn’t.  Thought I was going to have to do some experimenting with different alloys.  I’ll probably try some 50/50 just to see if it stays together.  But I think the fragmenting will help with terminal effects compared to a slow moving mushroomed bullet.  I know the penetration will be better with the fragmenting round.

If I get some time this week I’ll see if I can get some pics/video going.
