I would like to get the RG version of this mould please.

NOTE: If you like the following article, and decide that you want a mold too…
Then add a reply. That is one potential way to let NOE know to do another production run on this mold.

Everything in the store appears to be sold out at the moment.
This mould has the Rifle COAL that meets the 1.610 (.325) exposed cast bullet nose requirement.
Most of the traditional Keith SWCs were designed Keith long before the 44 Mag (The 44 Mag cartridge case is ~ .100 longer than the 44 Special) came into existence, & before the 44 Mag ever saw the light of day…
The original Keith loads were potentially pushing the design limits for the 44 Special.
This theoretically could potentially be dangerous in some of the earlier 44 Specials that Keith was using to develop his original loads with.

Thus if one looks at the 44 Mag Revolver OAL in the load manuals one will observe that the revolver COAL is actually 1.710 max though SAAMI officially lists the official 44 Mag max COAL length as 1.610.
The longer COAL for the revolvers does not tend to run well through the lever action rifles which were usually designed after the 44 Mag came into existence.
The 44 Mag revolver cylinders have all basically evolved with the 1.710 COAL, and the longer 44 Mag cartridge case.
The exposed bullet nose on most of the original (longer & heavier 44 bullet designs) is closer to (.395 – .410) when referenced to the crimp grove.

If one looks at the original 44 Special cartridge COAL… one might see that the crimp grove for those original Keith designs is correctly located for that crimp grove on those early 44 Special cartridge cases, as those mould designs were originally designed on the 44 Special COAL.

Unfortunately this is not necessarily so for a goodly number of the 44 Mag lever action rifles.
The COAL for the 44 Mag rifle is 1.610 max… as per the SAAMI spec.
Thus one must seat ~ .100 deeper than the crimp grove to make the rifle length OAL for the 44 Mag rifles for those older & traditional Keith designs.

On a tubular magazine… not being able to use that original crimp grove… could potentially be asking for trouble if the bullet is pushed deeper into the cartridge case via recoil.
If one is a pistol shooter only… there is technically no problem with the longer older designs.
The trouble is that no one basically marks or keeps their 44 Mag loads marked and segregated…
