Depending on what your barrel length and twist rate is on your 6.5 Grendel, & what you primarily plan to use your Grendel for.

The current commercial Grendel jacketed ammunition that is currently being offered as loaded ammunition … is in a 90 to 130 Gr weight range…

If there was any stock left in the NOE mould offering of the 266-126 GC mould inventory I might tend to suggest that bullet mould for you to try… to see if your Grendel takes a liking to that steady practice diet…

You might consider starting a string in the what you would like to see run forum subject… down the line… to see if there are any more Grendel owners out there who are looking to feed their hungry Grendel’s on cast bullet product.

        https://noebulletmolds.com/site/product-category/264-6-5mm/266-126-fn-ao3/

This particular 6.5 MM bullet was originally offered in both a non RG & an RG format for those who wanted a slightly lighter cast bullet… in that particular caliber.

The RG version for me tends to throw an ~ 112 gr HP bullet with wheelweights, & with the flat pins installed you can tend to get a flat pointed bullet that is ~ 119 gr in weight as advertised in wheelweights … or less depending on your potential use of a harder cast alloy…

This when combined by having a mould in both versions …  the GC RG, & NON RG … GC versions … tends to give you a similar range of cast bullet weights similar to what is being offered in the afore mentioned 6.5 MM jacketed bullet offerings…

NOTE… The harder your alloy mix the lighter the end cast bullets will tend to be…

You have not said at the moment in your initial query… what jacketed bullet weight that your 6.5 Grendel is at the moment particularly partial to… nor whether you plan to powder coat or use a more traditional lube & sizing option… on your cast bullet product… If you plan to powder coat you may have to also size your end product afterwards as the coating will tend to add .001 or .002 to the finished diameter…

Without that intel, one cannot tend to recommend more specifics than what is already in this posting…

I had better luck with the 140g  266 noe bullet in my 1 in 8 barrel for my 6.5 Grendel. Around 25g 4064, either IMR or AA, maybe a pinch more, gave 2 MOA.

Above is another potential excellent example at the heavy end of the spectrum that should work … Unfortunately that particular mould is also completely out of stock …  Below is the link to the NOE store web page… for that 140 Gr 266 mould design…

            https://noebulletmolds.com/site/product-category/264-6-5mm/266-140-fn-by2/

What it will potentially take according to the NOE listed requirements (as noted below) is at least 5 individuals to request a mould that is out of stock within the time period as listed in the inventory run rules , or at least 10 individuals to request a new mould design within the time period listed in the group buy rules … Plus the time needed by NOE to schedule the inventory run, & or make the tooling and schedule the new mould run… as noted in the group by instructions…

For your reading convenience … here are the links to those two NOE forum pages.

I came to the NOE site to buy a mold. Everything was out of stock so I wandered around and found the forum. Discovered there was a place to ask to have “something” to be run.  So I asked to have anything popular for a Grendel run.

What I would like is the 125 fn 4 caviety mold with 2 GC and 2 Plain base, so I can see what works best for me.  That looks like the best mold to start with based on little experience reloading jacketed so far.

It feels kind of offensive to be asked to get 10 other guys together and beg for a mold run. Its not my business! I thought I would work with the system and suggest something I was after and others would be after as well.  I understand supply chain interruptions and whatever else is the hold up. What I don’t get is the brown nosing and the hoop jumping just to get a mold.

hey John, theres a request to be ran for the 266-126 mold already of your scroll down a bit.  I’m anxious waiting for something for my grendel too.  you might just make #5 and we could see the mold ran.

                  The 266-140-FN-BY2 would be great.

May one ask which mould option version?

GC ?, PB ?, #of Cavities, Aluminum or Brass?

                        I’d like a 266-126-FN-A03 2 or 4 cavity RG(2 or4) GC brass mold with Lyman top punch.
