Do some or all current moulds have a Teflon sprue plate? The new mould I received sure looks and feels very slick.

        Yes,

Some of the moulds were at the time offered originally with a Teflon Sprue Plate option … Al even emailed me … back when … to say that he planned to go to that option on new runs …  If there are some of  those original runs … still in stock from those runs … a teflon sprue plate option is listed on the order page … & can be added on the purchased mould in question…

What originally happened to change Al’s mind … I cannot say… However it may appear that apparently there may not enough positive responses from the members in regard to the Teflon Sprue Plates … to warrant for that option to come to fruition …

You can if you wish … still purchase some of the remaining teflon sprue plates as spare part items, & change them out … on the moulds that you may have in your war bag… The link to that page is attached below.

Just be sure to get the right model (Size) sprue plate … for your favorite mould, or moulds… calibers.

        Nuff Said…

Personally I tend to like the Teflon Sprue Plate Option, & tend to wish that the Teflon Sprue Plate had become the standard option that Al apparently originally planned to provide … Back When…

However it is what it is…

Thanks, Mike…I just wondered if they had made that change because it didn’t have any added cost. I’m still not sure it is a Teflon plate. Anyways I love it. THANKS!

We have changed over to all Teflon coated sprue plates.
Some of the old inventory may have the old black oxide plates.
