      Subject: Pellet Mold: 250-27-RF-CC3

When I opened the Box, I was surprised to find (2) extra sets of pins. One medium point and one very low point. No explanation or instructions were provided as to why the extra sets of Pins were included. Upon close inspection I was able to determine that the Skirts and Pellet Weight would change based on what set of pins were in the Mold. Again, no instructions…

The Cast Pellet weights are running 27-30 grain. The Mold Model (250-27-RF-CC3) is a .251 27 gr. double cavity. I have been casting rifle bullets for decades so, I am quite familiar with the process… I cast from .17 Remington to 45-70, 17 different calibers and reload with the casted bullets.

The problem I am encountering is the Pellet Weight ranges from 27-30gr. I made certain that the mold is good and tight when casting. The Pin Holders on the bottom could be a source of problems, too much play in them and the Steel and the Aluminum expand and contract at quite different rates which may account of the castings varying too much in weight based on the pins being able to expand and contract from the Steel Clips that hold them on the bottom of the Mold.

If you could recommend someone in NOE that I can contact on the Telephone I would like to discuss this further.

Please provide an Contact Name and Phone Number.
