        OBTW if one of those 45-70s happens to be one of the newer Marlin’s … Unless you have already modified the free bore on said lever gun … you may find that the .360 dia forward of the crimp grove may tend to want to hit the beginning of the Marlin rifling …

        I tend to nose size that particular and similar cast products a tiny bit to optimize the cartridge fit and ease in cycling & functioning …
