I had a look at that calculator, and it gives an error message at 1200 fps and below, and does not give the proper twist rate for subsonic or transonic use…. Here is one that does, by Geoffrey Kolbe, based on Robert McCoy’s “McGyro” program….

The output is in the form of a graph, showing how the required twist rate changes as you pass through the speed of sound…. In addition you can optionally put in your twist rate and see what the stability factor is at various velocities….
