A lot of people enjoy using a cast bullet with a lot of meplate ( frontal area ).   It is hard to beat the full wadcutter for this.   There are about as many wadcutter manufacturers as there are stars in the sky.

The heavy weight .35 cal. Wadcutters thin the manufacturers out .

Most stay focused on the 148 gr. versions.

This NOE mould cast a wonderfully accurate bullet that I would not hesitate to use for self defense in the 38 Specials or the 357 Magnum.

Some say that wadcutters lose their accuracy potential past 50 yards.   Well, I don’t know about you but my need for a self defense load is always inside 50 yards.  About 98% of the time inside of 7 yards.  I would have no reservations in using this bullet for self defense loads.

Here are some pics:

I have a Ruger # 1 in 357 Maximum.

I shot this bullet @ 50 yards.

5 rounds.

I’m super happy with the accuracy potential of this bullet.
