      Is anyone using this mold?

      The site says it’s great for the 30-30, .300blk, and .308win.  I’m assuming that means the meplat is big enough to safely load it in .30-30 for tube fed guns?  At the same time, I have to wonder if the meplat is small enough to feed well in AR’s. 

      I’ve been using the Lee 155gr spire point that is intended for the 7.62×39 and sizing it down to .310 for my .30cal guns with good results.  I’ve wanted a nicer mold that’d fill the same role for a while now.  I also have a 30-30 now, and one boolit for all of the above from a top quality mold sure would be sweet.

      Is anyone using this boolit?

        I HAVE that mould and quite a few cast.  It should be a great bullet for most 30cal, but tends to be a bit too blunt at my OAL for feeding in my 300BLK AR.  I’ll have to give them a good test in my 308s and 30-06s.

          I shot that one in my 2 groove ’03 RIA mongrel and was thoroughly impressed.  4/5 shots touching at 50 yards, peep sight, wrist and elbow rest.  I need to try it in my 4 groove 03A3 and Rem700.

            I have a couple of hundred in different HP configurations sized and ready to load this wkend, would you mind sharing your thoughts on load receipts?  I’ll be loading 30-30’s.

              Hello Swede Nelson,

              I have wanted to purchase the captured molds for some time.  What are the chances yuou might have some of rhe molds available?

              Also, I would like to get a nose punch (RCBS/Lyman style) for each of the molds and Bull Plate.

                A little late to the table but for what it is worth, sub min. @ 100 yds in my 4 groove 03’s w/ 18 grs 2400.
                One with Lyman 48, 17 Front.
                One with Lyman 10x, both full dress military. :)

                  Hello
                  I have shot quite a few of these plain based and get good accuracy.
                  The issue with the 30-30 is the bullet length from crimp grove forward is to long to feed out of the tube of my win 94.
                  I have to single load em.
                  They shoot very accurate but can not be cycled.
                  If you would like a few plain non hp to try I have some cast and lubed @ .310.
                  Let me know and I would mail you a handful.
