Have you looked into Pat Marlins PB checkmakers? :-

His what I would call 2nd gen ones since he got a new CNC a year or so back are even better that the originals.  Also got 1 or 2 of his sets for regular CG.  Nice to be able to change material and thickness for problem GC moulds.  http://www.Patmarlins.com

I’ve had great luck and much fun punching beer and soda cans with his PB checkmaker sets.  The 22 ones are a bit tiny and sometimes a little frustrating but work past 3K fps.  They are bright and interesting unless you form with the printing to the inside. ;D

I use Pat’s dies also. I have the 500 PB and it works great. I can force them on to the harder stuff but they blend right into the “softer” metal otherwise. And, yes, the soda can thickness is best for PB. I try to get a complete color going; green, black and red are the most common colors I use.

I try to do the same thing. I also find that using the “upc” code portion of the soda can looks kinda cool. I had some folks do a double take when checking out the boolits that have that or the “calories” section.
Then when you tell them it’s made from cans, they are usually more intrigued after that.
I also recently purchased one of his “pocket luber’s” for the 50 cal. I made some lube yesterday for the first time and loaded the luber up. Worked excellent and way easier for me than normal  pan lubing for smaller testing loads and development.
