I am going to admit it. I’m getting old. I’ve been thinking about a lighter recoiling rifle than my TC Katahdin or Marlin GG. But then my brain said “get a lighter bullet”.
I know that there is a Collar Button Bullet where the design dates back 150 years. It looks interesting but I read that it can be difficult to cast and size. Would a more up to date design be better? Something like the 460-315-RF 2 cavity PB shortened by a groove with maybe a shorter nose? Lets say that we aim for @250gr.
Push it to 900-1,200fps and shoot more with less trips to the dentist.
