I have sent a newer version of this to Al, a 218-30-FN and HP, and he may be hesitant to make it because it is pretty close to the existing design…. It is 0.001″ larger in diameter, a few thou longer, has a slightly smaller Meplat, and a larger boattail diameter…. The changes were suggested by British ballistician Miles Morris, as he thought the flow over the boattail of the existing design may not be reattaching…. In theory, the changes should improve accuracy….

Perhaps if you are interested in the newer version, you might indicate that in this thread?….

217-30-FN are one of my favorites for sure.  I’ll show one that I recovered from a large head on shot on a chipmunk with one of these at about 30 yards.
