      I had an idea to use my strue from swaging and also be able to use my soft lead to make cores from molds to swage in to ELR style slugs the I have dies for. The ELR type slugs have a boat tail and require a .185 diameter lead wire to fill the boat tail base punch minor diameter so it doesn’t trap air, but the larger diameter is needed on the other end to get a proper x pin hollow point so they mushroom when swaged into ELR style slugs. This core could also be used in S2 ogive dies with a hollow point pin and make the mushroom even better. The picture below should clarify what I am talking about.

      • Straight wall .216 diameter
      • Reduced tail diameter to .185 – approximate length .16
      • Length – TBD I am looking for approximately 45 grain core

      Anybody else interested in something similar?
