I am not sure and sent a p.m. asking Swede if it was possible to get it with a shorter round by less plunged depth giving a shorter crimp shank… not sure still he may have not received my P.M…

I also realized even it may not be worth it if setting up for that is  to involved… Heck I would actually like two mold both with mixed cavities… using the shortening the shank to give the choice of around 38g-35g-33g-30g from 2 two cavity molds… I just do not know if it would be a real pain to do or not…

If it is possible and not a real pain… then I would change my I want to 2 two cavity(mixed)  aluminum…

If not possible then am still in for one two cavity aluminum…

If that is the case then will  figure a way to  shorten the shank after casting… Thinking a tight fitting hole in a block to hold the round leaving the right amount protruding… then cutting with a thin sharp hot blade…

just trying to help ya spend your green stamps  Tom(tkerrigan)…

I would hope the discussion around the crimping tool doesn’t fall on the floor. IMHO, the tools Al & Co. make are works of art. I’d certainly like to see them give the crimping tool a go.

Al is currently working on it to see if it is feasible for NOE to produce one.

It would be good if it could be used for .22WMR as well.

talked with Al and a no go on the one off stuff for now… so no shortened crimp shank… so yep staying with the 2 cavity aluminum but I do want a hollow point now…
