I was just thinking that there are not many heavy .25 caliber designs that fit my .25-06 or Bob well.  What about something with a bore rider nose like a downsized 6.5mm design or 311299?  Or ditch the top groove and stretch out the 260 100gr.  Something so the lube grooves and gas check stay up in the neck instead of down in the case and weighs around 120gr.

I just happen to have such a design on file. This bullet isn’t my design, it’s actually a proven Schuetzen design (PB) that’s been around a few years, done by David Mos. He is no longer in business. Breech seated this bullet has shot 3 perfect scores of 250 on the 25 ring target at 200 yards and at least one or more 250 in practice, this at 1680 fps in a 25/20 WCF. The 25 ring is 1.5″ so, his groups are in the 1.25 range @ 200 or .6 MOA.

It’s design in WW, with tin or antimony, it will cast about .259.

I cast only for airguns so I need to have margin to use sizing die and calibrate atleast 0.02. And I use pure lead and 2-3% tin alloy…So .260 is only option for me

Let’s see how much interest that anyone has in this. I can move the dimensions around in both length and dia.

I would be interested in something like this that had a bit shorter shank that would stay inside a 250 Savage neck and work through a Savage 99
I suspect it would need to be close to 100 grains max. That should also work pretty good through a 257 Roberts

Those look pretty good frnkeore, thanks for the drawings.  I think those would work pretty well in both cartridges even though they are for breach seating.  I am pretty sure Al could make it a .260″.  I don’t think it needs the dirt groove in front though.

I hope this one goes to mill…just looking something bigger than 100gr already have that mold and it looks promising…at .260 diameter

I’d go for 1 if it were up around 120 . There is a Bob, 25-06′ and a 264 paper patching work up in the not to distant future.
