      Working with rsterne (Bob’s Boat tails) on some Air rifle moulds
      We have come up with the following design

        Know this is an older threaad but I was thinking that exact same thing. A HP version would be sweet.

          I sent a mould out to Erik at Hollowpoint Mould Services and had this modification done…. They came out to 109 gr…. Hope to try them within a couple of weeks….

          NOE cannot use their RG system on such a small Meplat, but they can supply a Lyman style HP pin in one cavity and push the Meplat back to 1/8″ at the same time…. However, that must be done at the time of manufacture, so the only moulds in stock are as designed….

            Hi Bob, what’s the BC difference if the tail is FB instead of BT?

              In theory, up to 1/3 less drag as a boattail, in the subsonic region…. ie up to a 50% increase in the subsonic BC….
