Since the 311241 mold isn’t drawing much attention and since it design is mostly for a PB 30/30 mold, I thought I’d see if there is any interest in a modern PB design for the 30/30.

My design is made for the SAAMI 30/30 chamber. The driving bands fill the neck with .02 to spare. The front band (.308) occupies about 1/2 of the open space between the mouth of the case and the bore diameter, while the bore riding section engages the lands .040 with a 2.04 long case and .020 with a 2.02 case and still is completely inside the neck. With the 2.04 long case, it will have a 2.562 COAL and 2.542 with the trimed case.

It should excell as a PB target bullet and I gave it a large enough meplat to be a excellet hunting round.

      Any interest?

      Frank

      PS
      I added a GC version.

          Al,
Is this one going to go to a Active Group buy?

I just got one, and the mould is easy to use, drops as designed BUT…meplat is too small to use in a tube magazine 30-30.
To name it 30-30 is misleading.
I can still use it in my 03A3 30-06, but wanted a PB design for a LEVERGUN.

The brass mold arrived!  Oh these new brass molds always looking so good.  Can’t wait to try some boolits in my 336 Marlin.  I load singles when I do target sessions.  If I were to hunt, 2 in the tube until ready to shoot.
