Had the opportunity to try the 340320 in the 338 Fed chambered Ruger Hawkeye for the first time today.
IMR 4759 was used in charges ranging from 18.5-20.5. Hornady gas checks and LEE’s version of NRA 50/50 lube were applied with a .340 Star sizer, nose first.
6 different 5 shot groups at 100 yds all measured 1.5″ or slightly less. No cleaning was done, as no fouling occurred.I use a 4 cavity GC mould. Weighing over 50 casts, only 2 missed the +/- .5 grain window (barely) with my alloy average of 211 grains. You gotta love high production AND consistency…Thanks, Al.
