I am considering the 360-180 FN RCBS mould for use in a Contender 10″ 357 Mag. The question is PB or GC? I don’t think they can be pushed faster than 1400fps with the limited case capacity of the 357 Mag case. Is that is correct then PB should be good. Right?
Well it seems you can shoot a 180 cast bullet in a Contender 357 Mag faster than 1400fps. I got to 1550fps using 2400 today. Close to max but still serviceable. But I still don’t know if a GC is necessary for these velocities. Tks, Bill
