Interested in Al’s 379-279-FN 2 cavity PB Brass (379449) for my C. Sharps 1885 Highwall in .38-55.  It’s got a 30″ Green Mountain barrel with a 1:14 twist.  I’m wondering how well the bullet casts and what kind of performance you’ve experienced if you have a similar firearm.

Mine is a plain base and it casts very well.  Only shot a few in a Win 94 in 375 Win.  Did what I wanted it to do.

I have a gas check version and it works great in my 375 H&H Encore. Air cooled clip on wheel weights sized to .379 with a Gator check, 666-1 lube. Loaded to touch the lands over 42gr of H4895 shoots 1.5″ @ 100m. Have not chronographed it as I have not shot the rifle since buying a Magnetospeed.  Hope to use it for whitetails this fall.
