432-265 (H&G 503)

I’ve been doing some testing with my Ruger Bisley and this NOE bullet. Cast of 9ww+1pure+2% tin the bullet comes in at 264 gr. Tried a few loads yesterday at 40 yds and the most accurate were 8.5 gr of Power Pistol (950fps SD 14) and 10gr of Longshot (1050 fps SD 11). I was looking for what John Taffin called “working loads”. I also tried 14gr of #7 and 12gr of Longshot. These were 200fps faster, but not as accurate. 40yds is my choice of testing distance because it is the longest distance I can focus both the front sight and the target. Yes, I shoot well up to 200 meters on the silhouette range, but the targets are considerably bigger.
