Any news on this boolit? I am looking for a 432 mold at about 260-270 grain and am watching the discussion of SSK/NEI 432 mold. It looks like it will run heavier than what I need. Maybe this mold is more suited to my needs. I will be watching both boolits to see what one is the best for my use. NOE has been a proven  custom mold and I don’t want to buy another brand. I’m just afraid to put a lot of money in a mold and find out it drops a boolit that is heavier than I expected. :)

I’m not intrested in getting this mold , however some free words of advice . I already have an original 429640 that does nicely and I also own a 429640 HP Devestater , the HP in that thing IMHO could be a little less . The big cone HP in that mold IMHO would be better served with a pin HP more like whats in the original Lyman 429244 HP mold and yes I just happen to have one of those as well .

I’ve killed deer with both the 429244 HP and the 429640 HP all of them inside 50 yards and the smaller bullet with the smaller HP cavity seemed to do a better and more humane job . FWIW my use of these two molds has been with WW air cooled shot from a 444 pushed well .

Now with that being said I have an NOE/RD 432-350GC HP that I also used to kill a deer in a 444 and that one cast from WW’s and water quenched pushed pretty well also blew up like the 429640 HP Devestater .

Thanks for the first hand info 6pt. I am more interested in the weight and not so much if a hp or a swc. I also have a lyman 429244 in swc and hp and want something a little heavier . The swc drops at 260 and I want something at 270 or 275 . I just want to anchor a big critter and not make a mess of it. If this mold is made I hope it has the options of most other NOE molds…GC or PB…hp or swc.

I believe the Lyman Devastator was designed specifically for handgun hunting. As with many hollow point bullets designed for use in handguns (even jacketed bullets), they aren’t intended to be used at the velocities produced by the .444 Marlin in a rifle. For use in a .444 Marlin rifle, it would probably be best to use this bullet as a solid.

It looks good to me. The drawing also reminds me that I don’t have a gas check design for my 44’s yet.

I’d be in on one also!  I was looking at the SSK/NEI 310 429, but it’s a little on the heavy side for my taste.  This one would work well.  I just need to decide if I need the HP version or not.
