Well one merit for this over the #68 is there are some pistols where the #68 seated correctly is just too long for the magazine. I have an STI double stack in .45 ACP and the regular #68 is just too long becuase the mag on the doublestack .45 is shorter front to back than single stack mags so I have to seat the shoulder of the #68 into the case rather than have it stick out slightly like I prefeer. The shorter nose on this lets me seat the shoudler that way I want and have no issues with the loaded rounds binding up in the mag.
