so i’m thinking about this mold for my .450 bush master. i’m thinking with a little rounder ogive and a smaller metplate it should feed better then what the  lee 255 grain boolit.  the lee boolit fed alright but, would still hang up in my ruger american bolt .450 bush master. i’m also not getting the accuracy from the lee 255 bullet probably due to not having as gas check.

i may just size and lube this bullet. if i lubed and sized this bullet with it only having 1 lube groove would that cause any problems or be a non issue ? most lead bullets in this caliber have 2 grooves.  ideally i’d like to run this bullet 1700-1800 fps. i had been powder coating the lee bullet.

You do realize that the files that you have uploaded both exceed the file size and thus cannot be read … apparently … even with logged in…

Also what you are suggesting while interesting tends to need new tooling and for that you will need at least 9 more individuals that also are requesting a technical I want firm commitment…

          https://noebulletmolds.com/smf/index.php?board=2.0

To that end I have attached a link to the NOE store covering both group buys and changes to the group buy policy…

In case you are thinking of a new inventory run I have also attached the NOE link to the inventory run requirements… For that you will need at least 4 more members willing to firmly commit to the purchase of a new inventory run…

i sent you an email back i dunno if it went through.  i tried just posting photo’s from 2 current noe molds. a 280 grain mold and a 307 grain mold.

i don’t want a new one designed or produced. it looked like the 2nd picture was the only one that loaded which, is my fault.  that photo  was of 307 grain bullet. which, looks like it’s identical to the 280 grain bullet but, with 2 lube grooves. i was basically deciding between the two but, decided to go with 307 grain mold as it was designed for the BM

              Michael,

I’m glad that you found what you think may just work for you in the NOE 45 caliber mould listings … as an NOE 454-307 …  That you now refer to … in your latest posting … It has been my experience that NOE … photo attachments … tend to actually need to be shown as a whole lot smaller in … file size … Than what the forums attachments are said to be limited to … This tends to limit the actual file size to be actually accepted … by the forum2 format  … When posting forum2 … pictures … especially now on the new forum2 website … which does not actually appear to automatically post those attachments for the other forum2 … members to actually see ….   without their also logging in to see said posting attachments …

One may want to double check, & reset your file attachment sizes … way down to a minimum … before posting said attachment … is attached … to help to insure … that those attachments are actually accepted, & do actually go through … for the other forum2 members …  to actually see … when logging in … This has been my experience when double checking forum2 NOE … attachment  .. postings.

The original archive forum, & also now …the new NOE forum2 … that this is … the case … Unfortunately the indication that the forum2 does not necessarily automatically tend to show those attachment / attachments … to the original posting member – forum2 sender .. nor any potential subsequent forum … members who might subsequently be … logging in to the forum2 to try to see those supposed attachments … might be. Maybe the keymaster’s do tend to see those attachments…

NOTE :The email that you sent … did finally come through this early this morning … & the files that you sent via email … actually tended to turn out to be visibly  huge … so … to speak  .. in the actual … attached file size … when double checked at my end of the viewing equation … Why I cannot say…in that regard … to the forum2’s actual format attachment file size  .. However it tends to be what it is … for the forum membership at large … You happen to be the second forum member … that tends to have said on forum2 … that you have posted an attachment … which when another  member … subsequently logs in … to try to see … said attachment …  tends to not actually be there … for said forum member, subsequently  logging in to actually see … Nuff Said …

I’m building a 450 Bushmaster on a 93 Mauser action.  Both the 454-280-RF and the 452-304 bullets look like they would be good for this cartridge.  When I looked in the loading data section on the site I noticed that there’s no load data for the 450 Bushmaster.  Online searches have shown a few cast bullets loads in this caliber, but not nearly as many as for other popular cartridges.  Do you know of any cast 450 BM loads using AA4100/Enforcer, 1680, Shooters World Blackout, or AA5744?
