If you would offer the same in a ~.506 I’m betting it would pick up some White shooters.

Took me a while to wander back here. White rifles, (doc White designs/ Green river rifles) a now defunct manufacturer of muzzleloaders in .504, .451, and .410 calibers, with some oddballs thrown in the mix.  http://whitemuzzleloading.com/  Known for being incredible big lead shooters, and still have an almost cult like following.  Pretty much designed  lead fullbore with faster than normal twists, and .0035 depth rifling.

Got everything all cleaned and pre treated yesterday. Going to cast and powder coat some of the HP today using the large pin sets first.
Going to try the light trail boss for each and also starting loads using ramshot enforcer. I’ll keep you gentlemen updated.

Those large pins make huge hollow points.  I’m excited for them.

You were not kidding. They are craters. I just finished my last batch in the oven and resized everything to .501
Tomorrow after some chores I’m going to load a few and get the chronograph out. I have a few other NOE 502 molds I want to clock the speed.
I went with a Lyman #2 / pure lead at just about a 50/50 blend. In the 10-11 bhn. I also did not water quench but air cooled everything before and after the baking period.
What kinda weight were you getting on your molds if you do not mind me asking?
Prior to powder coating my average was 294 grains for the 502-322-swc, 370 grains for the 502-404-swc, and 450 grains for the 502-485-swc using the large pins on all. They came out great. Would never have known it was a first time running mold.  Smooth smooth.

If you are not using WW or adding arsenic / equiv (see LASC on the subject) they will not change BHN with water quench nor oven cure.

After the morning hunt tomorrow I plan on setting up the Ohler and clocking some HB pyrodex BP loads.  Nice to use the deck as a stand or maybe walk down to a stand on the power lines.  If the gods smile I’ll post a harvest pix

My HBs dropped GREAT from the git go without smoking – just clean with scrubbing bubbles and 4X oven cures
