I’m a newbie to casting and the good folks as Castboolits forum highly recommend NOE molds.  I’ve notice that a lot of 9mm molds are sold out.  Is this due to NOE’s factory move?  Or do I need to join a group buy to get the mold I want?  I was looking at 358 124Gr. TC 5 cavity but unsure.  Oh, I did slug my Springfield Range Officer 9mm barrel, I found two measurements:  0.3549 & 0.3550

Would a 358 mold be too large?

Sorry for all the questions, but I feel a bit overwhelmed.

My Beretta slugs @.3565″ and I shoot .358. I hope that helps.

IMO. Your best bet would be to have your bullet fit the chamber/throat of your pistol, rather than worry about the bore/groove diameter. Many 9mm mould designs produce bullets that are too small. Unless you’re looking at a tumble lube design bullet, it’s pretty easy to size a slightly large bullet down if you have to, rather than to try to bump a too small of a diameter bullet up. A .358″ diameter bullet works fine in my Browning Hi-Power and IMI UZI Model A carbine. I believe .358″ diameter cast bullets work well in most 9mm pistols (e.g. Beretta 92, etc.) with military type chambers/throats too.

Thanks for the feedback B Krafty & Dr. Owl Creek.

I’m definitely looking to use powder coat instead of tumble lube.
