I use the NOE bushings with a lee single stage press. I don’t fully understand your question, but it should be the same process with just about any single stage press. You will need a push through rod whether it be a Lee or NOE and whether you are using a Lee sizing die or the NOE bushings/dies. Participant::I’m gathering the items I need to switch over to this sizing die system and place an order soon, but I have a question I hope someone here can answer.
For powder coating users, are you purchasing 2 different body sizing bushings per caliber? For instance, If i size my 500 magnum cast boolits to .501, would I then also want a .502 to size after powder coating?
As of now I have been sizing all my finished powder coated boolits to .501 and I’ve noticed some “spring back” more with certain colors ( blue and red sometimes spring back as far as .503). I have not noticed any problems firing anything and my barrel does not lead at the low speeds I’ve tried already. The Lee sizing die (.501) I have currently works but I also understand NOE tools are more precise, so that started my melon thinking.
I’m planning on increasing velocities with some new loads and might start using gas checks. The backwards installation might be what I need to perfect this part on my spire points and also make the boolits more consistent.
Im in my second year at casting so my questions may seem basic, but I want to make sure I order correctly what I need and budget for it. I’ve been throwing the idea around for a bit about the NOE push through sizer, and watching the video, made everything make sense. I was not sure how it all worked and what was needed.

Participant::Mountain man, I just use one. If it feels super tight or like you are scraping PC off, throw a little case lube on the bullets first before sizing them.
thank you for the suggestion. I do that already. Usually about every third or so. I still notice a few here and there that scrap the powder coating real thin near the lube groove area. Just wondering if I was doing it wrong or there was a better way. They seem to shoot completely normal at my current velocities. I was more thinking about when I start going to the higher pressure levels past 35 psi. Will those ever so slight imperfections be an issue is what I was making sure I was still being safe.

Participant::I received my NOE set today and everything looks in perfect working order. Fast shipping too. Hard to beat that. I watched the video again and also read the good instructions. I really like the base first idea.
I did notice the large sleeve spacer is sized for 41 cal- 46 cal. For those .501-.502 folks, are you using a sleeve at all? Just the body die or nose die respectively? ::I was getting scraping on my hitech coated bullets until I polished the inside of the bushing and added a bit more of a tapered opening to the bushing. I find that less pressure is needed to size with the tapered opening as the sizing is done over less of the bullet area and lets the lead’move’ where it needs to. Plus It”s easier to line the bullets up as they drop further into the die(my sizing press is upside down) I did have to do all this to to my lee sizers too and the noe system is a much better system.
